District Collector Sri V Sheshadri garu have attended adarsha rythus meeting on drought conducted on 28-8-09 at CLRC meeting hall, Piler. He suggested the following measures to mitigate drought.

Poison Bait against RHC in Piler Mandal

Poison bait prepared with Rice bran, Jaggary and endosulphon 5:1:1 to control the final instar larve in Peddireddigaripalle in Piler Mandal. We also suggested placing of jetropha and Calatropis twigs for attracting larve and subsequent killing. We recommomded trenching around field and application of Folidol dust 22% to check the migration of RHC.

JDA Visit to RHC infested villages in Piler Division

Jiont Director of Agriculture, Chittoor Sri. Siva Reddy has visited RHC infested hot spots at Peddireddigaripalle in Piler Mandal and Papireddigaripalle village of Sodam Mandal on 14-7-09. ADA(R), Piler, Sri. Y V ramana Rao and ADA, o/o JDA/Chittor Sri. N irmal Nithyanadam, MAO, Smt. K Srilatha, TA o/ADA Piler, AEOs , adarsha rythus and farmers have attened the discussion.

Chittoor Joint Director of Agriculture sri Siva Reddy have visited RHC hotsopt in Piler mandal .Village : Doddipalle interacted with farmers and suggested measures to prevent RHC infestation. ADA(R), and MAO and AEO of Piler mandal have also participated in the visit

Division level Polambadi farmers training, Kharir 2009

On 19-6-2009 and 20-6-2009 division level polambadi meetimgs were conducted to polambadi farmers of the 6 mandals. On 19-6-2009 meeting for CG Gallu, Yerravaripalem and Rompicherla mandals were conducted. On 20-6-09 farmers of Piler, sodam and K V palle were attended. on both the days the total strengh attended is 1075 farmers.
